Sustainable Agriculture Is a Boon for Modern Generation

Sustainable Agriculture Is Life:

Unsustainable agriculture is giving many concerns to the present generation and thus it is effecting the natural environment massively. It is causing serious damage to the soil and it is contaminating it with the dangerous chemicals as well. Moreover, it is also causing over-exploitation of water and this unsustainable agriculture has promoted water pollution with the usages of these dangerous chemical substances. On the other hand, sustainable agriculture is a form of farming that is the need of the hour for the survival of the modern generation and to make the perfect balance of the ecological system. Sustainable agriculture is a type of farming that does not harm the atmosphere at all and keeps the ecosystem balanced. So, sustainable agriculture is life for human beings from a future point of view.

Hazardous & Useful Activities:

Moreover, there are other agriculture practices as well that are causing soil erosion, water-logging, and water saline as well. On the other hand, sustainable agriculture is the only way to produce food without affecting the ecosystem. Most of the soil is losing its fertility because of over-cultivation and conventional farming techniques that are getting used at present.

Now, these techniques have been replaced by sustainable agriculture techniques like modern fertilizers, artificial nutrients, and renewable sources of energy as well. The sustainable techniques help in maintaining the nutrients for the plant's growth. The nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium can be easily generated as well. Nitrogen can be generated from the air by the nitrogen-fixing bacteria and potassium and phosphorus can be used with nitrogen to produce high-yielding fertilizers. Except, the rainfall is the other factor that can be considered as well and it is sufficient to cater to the needs of water supply. So, the farmers need to use the irrigation system to make the best out of the water available. The farmers should make sure that they create the proper distributions from the channels and chemicals should be avoided as well. These irrigation systems should be considered widely for the optimum usage of the available water.

• Adopt Natural Resources:

At present, natural resources are not getting used that much as they used to be in the past. So, these natural resources are getting scarce day by day and unsustainable agriculture practices have almost deteriorated them and now these natural resources cannot be seen anywhere. The unsustainable agriculture system is causing pollution and at the same time damaging the ecosystem massively as well. The profit is the factor that is also affecting the ecological balance.

• Talk Of The Town:

How to make the agriculture sustainable is the talk of the town at the moment and many people have started working towards it as well and if they don’t work on it now, then it will be a dreadful scenario for the future generation. The farmers should think of how they can maintain the nutrients in the soil. They can adopt the practice of many crops in a single field to reduce the loss of nutrients as well. So, monoculture and grazing management is the only way to sustainable agriculture and in this way, soil erosion can be reduced massively as well. Moreover, Friend of the Earth is helping massively by promoting sustainable agriculture and thus helping us by providing quality food along with maintaining the ecological balance as well.
